Hearing reports of human suffering and personal sacrifice from returning international missionaries, a handful of Prattville, Alabama business and professional people realized something must be done. Driven by a vision of impacting the globe one life at a time, these men and women set out to make a positive difference in the lives of the world's truly needy. Their determination, coupled with the support of individuals, civic groups, churches and businesses from across the river region, has brought them to where they are now: literally touching thousands of lives on a daily basis.
What started as a dinner conversation in the spring of 1999 has evolved into an international humanitarian relief organization. Established as a nonprofit 501-C-3 corporation, Global Impact is registered as a Private Voluntary Organization with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Our mission statement and operating philosophy? Provide relief to those who are hungry, thirsty, to those who are sick and seemingly hopeless.
